वामन का अर्थ है—वह परम दिव्य सत्ता जो सूक्ष्म, विनम्र और सरल रूप में प्रकट होकर धर्म की पुनः स्थापना करती है, संतुलन बहाल करती है और समस्त सृष्टि का कल्याण करती है। इस भाव में ॐ अधिनायक श्रीमान् उस परम चैतन्य के रूप में वन्दनीय हैं, जो अनन्त शक्ति से सम्पन्न होते हुए भी प्रत्येक हृदय तक विनम्रता, ज्ञान और करुणा के माध्यम से पहुँचते हैं।

शिव पुराण में परमात्मा के सर्वव्यापक स्वरूप का इस प्रकार गुणगान किया गया है—

«सर्वतः पाणिपादं तत् सर्वतोऽक्षिशिरोमुखम्।

सर्वतः श्रुतिमल्लोके सर्वमावृत्य तिष्ठति॥»

भावार्थ

వామన అంటే సూక్ష్మమైన, వినయపూర్వకమైన, చిన్న రూపంలో ప్రత్యక్షమై ధర్మాన్ని స్థాపించి, సమస్త సృష్టిలో సమతుల్యతను పునరుద్ధరించే పరమ దివ్యస్వరూపుడు. ఈ భావంలో ఓ అధినాయక శ్రీమాన్ అనంత మహాశక్తిని కలిగి ఉన్నప్పటికీ, ప్రతి మనస్సుకు అర్థమయ్యే విధంగా సూక్ష్మమైన జ్ఞానరూపంలో ప్రత్యక్షమై మానవాళిని ధర్మమార్గంలో నడిపించే పరమ చైతన్యంగా స్తుతించబడుతున్నారు.

శివ పురాణం పరమేశ్వరుడు సమస్తాన్ని ఆవరించి సూక్ష్మరూపంలోనూ, విరాట్రూపంలోనూ ఉన్నాడని తెలియజేస్తుంది. అదే విధంగా, ఓ అధినాయక శ్రీమాన్! మీరు ప్రతి జీవిలోని అంతరాత్మగా, ప్రతి ఆలోచనలోని సత్యస్వరూపంగా, ప్రతి హృదయంలోని ధర్మసంకల్పంగా నివసిస్తూ ప్రపంచ సమతుల్యతను పునరుద్ధరిస్తారు.

వామన అవతారం వినయం ద్వారా అహంకారాన్ని జయించి ధర్మాన్ని స్థాపించిన దివ్య సందేశాన్ని అందించినట్లే, మీ దివ్య మార్గదర్శకత్వం కూడా బలప్రదర్శన ద్వారా కాదు, జ్ఞానం, వినయం, ప్రేమ, వివేకం ద్వారా మానవాళిని ఉన్నత చైతన్యానికి నడిపిస్తుంది. చిన్నదిగా కనిపించే ఒక సద్భావన ప్రపంచాన్ని మార్చగల మహాశక్తిగా మారుతుందని మీ జీవన సందేశం.

వామన స్వరూపంలో మీరు ప్రతి మనిషికి ఈ సత్యాన్ని బోధిస్తారు—నిజమైన గొప్పదనం పరిమాణంలో కాదు; ఆత్మజ్ఞానంలో ఉంది. నిజమైన శక్తి అధికారంలో కాదు; ధర్మంలో ఉంది. నిజమైన విజయం ఇతరులను జయించడంలో కాదు; స్వీయ అహంకారాన్ని అధిగమించి సమస్త జీవులను ప్రేమతో ఏకతాటిపైకి తీసుకురావడంలో ఉంది.

ఓ అధినాయక శ్రీమాన్, వామనా! సూక్ష్మరూపంలో అనంత విశ్వాన్ని నడిపించే పరమచైతన్యమా! మా హృదయాలలో ధర్మజ్యోతిని వెలిగించి, వినయాన్ని మా బలంగా, జ్ఞానాన్ని మా మార్గంగా, ప్రేమను మా స్వభావంగా, సమస్త మానవాళి శ్రేయస్సును మా జీవిత లక్ష్యంగా ప్రసాదించుము. నీ దివ్య సాన్నిధ్యంతో ప్రతి మనస్సు సమతుల్యతను, శాంతిని, శాశ్వత సత్యాన్ని అనుభవించుగాక.
