Behold the charming army of mighty enemies,  
They have displayed various forms and colors.

3. **"राम चंद्र दीन्हे रवि करि" (Rāma Candra Dīnhe Ravi Kari)**

राम चंद्र दीन्हे रवि करि।  
माइ मानस बसिष्ठ कहहिं धरि॥

**Translation:**  
Lord Rama respectfully greeted the sun,  
He then stayed in Vasishtha's hermitage, according to his command.

4. **"ब्रह्म तपस्या कीन्हेसि जिय लागि" (Brahma Tapasyā Kīnhesi Jiya Lāgi)**

ब्रह्म तपस्या कीन्हेसि जिय लागि।  
तुरत बाटु भए तब प्रभु आगि॥

**Translation:**  
Performing penance for Brahma's sake,  
When he became distressed, the Lord appeared before him immediately.

5. **"सुजसु दृष्टि सब अतिबाद" (Sujasu Dṛṣṭi Saba Atibāda)**

सुजसु दृष्टि सब अतिबाद।  
माइ मानस बसिष्ठ भए बाद॥

**Translation:**  
Everyone's vision was greatly praised,  
Vasishtha became upset in his mind.

6. **"ब्रह्म मुनि तहँ सो भूषण" (Brahma Muni Taha So Bhūṣaṇa)**

ब्रह्म मुनि तहँ सो भूषण।  
मन बचन निज जेहि गणन॥

**Translation:**  
That sage is indeed a great ornament,  
Whose thoughts and words are considered their own.

7. **"धनुष बान गरुड़ गरजारे" (Dhanuṣa Bāna Garuḍa Garajāre)**

धनुष बान गरुड़ गरजारे।  
सुत समेत नगर निकट उचारे॥

**Translation:**  
Arrows twanged from the bow, making the sound of Garuda,  
He uttered the city with his sons nearby.

8. **"जाइ समीर नगर सहित सहियें" (Jāi Samīra Nagara Sahita Sahiyen)**

जाइ समीर नगर सहित सहियें।  
अद्भुत अति अघ समुझावँ सयें॥

**Translation:**  
He, along with the city, entered the breeze,  
Explaining the extremely amazing instruction.

9. **"आवहिं मम बचन बिचारी" (Āvahi Mam Bacana Bicārī)**

आवहिं मम बचन बिचारी।  
सुत प्रिय कृपा निज उबारी॥

**Translation:**  
Listen to my words and contemplate them,  
Out of affection for his sons, he showed his mercy and saved them.

चारिसि सागर कीन्ह संग्रामा।

Crossing the ocean, they engaged in battle,  
Everyone trembled, everyone sought a resolution.

अब भयउ सागर राम जाइ।

**Translation:**  
Now, the ocean feared as Rama approached,  
Then spoke the Lord of the Raghus.

12. **"अब बचन सुनि भयउ दशानन" (Ab Bacana Suni Bhayau Daśānana)**

अब बचन सुनि भयउ दशानन।  
कहुँ गिरिबर गहि गए तान॥

**Translation:**  
Now, hearing these words, Ravana became afraid,  
He held the mountain and prepared to throw it.

13. **"अब तब गिरिजाल जेहि गहि" (Ab Taba Girijāla Jehi Gahi)**

अब तब गिरिजाल जेहि गहि।  
सुनि नामु सिरु मुखि तुलसी लहि॥

**Translation:**  
Then, as he held the mountain peak,  
Hearing Tulsi's name, he took it on his head.

14. **"अब तुलसी तब चलेउ ताहि" (Ab Tulasi Taba Chaleu Tāhi)**

अब तुलसी तब चलेउ ताहि।  
सोइ राम केर मनु माहि॥

**Translation:**  
Now, Tulsi then went to him,  
He was in the heart of Rama.

15. **"अब सब तजि भयउ गिरिधरि" (Ab Sab Taji Bhayau Giridhari)**

अब सब तजि भयउ गिरिधरि।  
सगुन बिनय करहुँ प्रभु अति दरि॥

**Translation:**  
Now, abandoning everything, Giridhari became afraid,  
He bowed with devotion and stood before the Lord.

16. **"अब तुम्ह समुझाव जाइ भयउ" (Ab Tumha Samujhāva Jā'ī Bhayau)**

अब तुम्ह समुझाव जाइ भयउ।  
करहुँ नाथु सहित उर धरयउ॥

**Translation:**  
Now, you became afraid upon receiving instructions,  
And you held them in your heart along with your master.

17. **"अब सब समय जब रघुराय" (Ab Sab Samaya Jaba Raghu Rāya)**

अब सब समय जब रघुराय।  
तात प्रेम उपजेउ सब भय भाय॥

**Translation:**  
Now, at that moment when Raghu's lord arrived,  
Fatherly love arose, dispelling all fears.

18. **"अब नीति निरत नर निगमानु" (Ab Nīti Nirata Nara Nigamānu)**

अब नीति निरत नर निगमानु।  
सकल सुख सब ताहि भगवानु॥

**Translation:**  
Now, men dedicated to righteousness followed the scriptures,  
And the Lord bestowed all happiness upon them.

19. **"अब नाथ परम सुखदायकु" (Ab Nātha Parama Sukha Dāyaku)**

अब नाथ परम सुखदायकु।  
सब सुख कीन्ह समुझायकु॥

**Translation:**  
Now, the Lord became the ultimate bestower of happiness,  
He imparted understanding to everyone.

अब बाँधि अयोध्या बिधातु।  
सुख प्रिय मिलि बैठि बातु॥

**Translation:**  
Now, the creator bound Ayodhya,  
And happiness ensued as everyone sat together.

Rama and Lakshmana sat with Dasharatha, forgetting the narrative.

सोई राम चंद्र मूलिक प्रियदास।  
गिरि कूट अवधपुर मैं प्रकास॥

**Translation:**  
That Rama Chandra is the essence of beloved devotees,  
He shines in the city of Ayodhya, situated on the mountain.

3. **"बिलंबु बाल सिर महि आई" (Bilaṁbu Bāla Sira Mahi Ā'ī)**

बिलंबु बाल सिर महि आई।  
तात कैं कहहिं बैदेही भाई॥

**Translation:**  
The tender plantain leaves bent down,  
As if listening to their father's words, O brother of Videha.

4. **"सोइ रघुपति की बचन सुहाये" (So'ī Raghu Pati Kī Bacana Suhāye)**

सोइ रघुपति की बचन सुहाये।  
सज्जन संग सज्जन अनुसाये॥

**Translation:**  
Those words of Raghu's lord were pleasing,  
In the company of the virtuous, they became even more appealing.

5. **"सुनि सब विवेकि मुख नाना" (Suni Saba Viveki Mukha Nānā)**

सुनि सब विवेकि मुख नाना।  
साधु सब सहित बिराजत बाना॥

**Translation:**  
Listening to various wise faces,  
He appeared adorned with all the saints.

6. **"सोइ राम कपिन्ह करहु उपदेसा" (So'ī Rāma Kapinha Karahu Upadesā)**

सोइ राम कपिन्ह करहु उपदेसा।  
प्रतिज्ञा करि तहँ चलेहु नेसा॥

**Translation:**  
Rama gave advice to the monkeys,  
Making a promise, they departed from there.

7. **"सो बिप्रवा रामु पयोधि तारि" (So Bipravā Rāmu Payodhi Tāri)**

सो बिप्रवा रामु पयोधि तारि।  
तारिहि अपन सख निर्मल निज धारि॥

**Translation:**  
Thus spoke Rama, the rescuer from the ocean,  
He crossed over along with his pure friend.

8. **"सुख कपिन्ह कृपा कीन्हे" (Sukha Kapinha Kr̥pā Kīnhe)**

सुख कपिन्ह कृपा कीन्हे।  
धरि बहुत चितवहुँ पुर प्रजा रक्षीन्हे॥

**Translation:**  
The monkeys were filled with joy due to his compassion,  
He protected the city and its citizens with great care.

9. **"तात अपनी सोइ बिबिध सिखा" (Tāta Apnī So'ī Bibidha Sikhā)**

तात अपनी सोइ बिबिध सिखा।  
साधु गुरु सुहृद सख अभिलाखा॥

**Translation:**  
Father taught them various lessons,  
He called them saints, gurus, friends, and companions.

10. **"चारिसि सहस नगर निकट परें" (Cārisi Sahasa Nagara Nikata Pareṁ)**

चारिसि सहस नगर निकट परें।  
सुनि पवनसुत कपि दीन्ह अभिलाष वचन सुरें॥

**Translation:**  
Approaching the city with thousands, they reached nearby,  
Hearing the words of Hanuman, the son of the wind, they became certain of their desires.

11. **"सोइ रामु गरुड़ केहिं जाई" (So'ī Rāmu Garuḍa Ke'hiṁ Jā'ī)**

सोइ रामु गरुड़ केहिं जाई।  
तारिहि सुर असुर बृंद दुख पाई॥

**Translation:**  
Rama rode Garuda and went,  
Thus, the gods and demons experienced sorrow.

12. **"दीन्ह राम सब निज नियामु" (Dīnha Rāma Sab Nija Niyāmu)**

दीन्ह राम सब निज नियामु।  
सो भयउ बिनय करि कपिबन्धु कामु॥

**Translation:**  
Rama gave everyone their rightful duties,  
Seeing this, the monkey companions became filled with devotion and offered obeisance.

13. **"सो बिनय करहिं परिग्रह कामा" (So Binaya Karahiṁ Parigraha Kāmā)**

सो बिनय करहिं परिग्रह कामा।  
सब सुख रामु नामु भजति धामा॥

**Translation:**  
They humbly accepted their responsibilities,  
And with all joy, they worshipped the abode of Rama's name.

14. **"सो धरहिं सो मूलि नामु तिहारा" (So Dharahiṁ So Mūli Nāmu Tihārā)**

सो धरहिं सो मूलि नामु तिहारा।  
सगुन रूप निज देखि अति प्यारा॥

**Translation:**  
They held the roots of their name there,  
Seeing their own forms, they became exceedingly dear.

15. **"सो नाथ परम भयउ निज नायकु" (So Nātha Parama Bhayau Nija Nāyaku)**

सो नाथ परम भयउ निज नायकु।  
तब कहि रामु प्रानपति बाकु॥

**Translation:**  
Seeing their own leader, the supreme Lord became afraid,  
Then, Rama, the lord of life, spoke.

16. **"तब भयउ परिजन सब सोहा" (Taba Bhayau Parijana Sab Sōhā)**

तब भयउ परिजन सब सोहा।  
बोले रामु चालु चलिहु लोहा॥

**Translation:**  
At that moment, all the servants became afraid,  
Rama said, "Go on, continue your efforts."

17. **"अब समय रामु प्रभु जायि" (Ab Samaya Rāmu Prabhu Jāyi)**

**Translation:**  
Now, the Lord Rama was about to depart,  
And he set off towards the mountain named Giriparvat.

**Translation:**  
Now, Hanuman became as anxious as the wind,

**Translation:**  
Now, he went towards the mountain named Giriparvat,  
And he sought shelter in the northern forest.

**Translation:**  
Now, Rama, the lord of the Raghus, moved like fire,  
And he returned to his own abode in Ayodhya.

By the grace of Rama and through humble supplication,  
You can know that you are the enemy of sorrow.

2. **"तुम्ह अधिक अति गुणी गानी" (Tumha Adhika Ati Guṇī Gānī)**

सुगम त्रेता जोग नहिं जानी॥

**Translation:**  
You are exceedingly virtuous and skillful in speech,  
The path of Treta and Yuga is unknown to you.

साकेत जसु राम प्रिय प्रेम एका॥

**Translation:**  
You possess immense strength and discrimination,  
Your love for Rama is singularly profound, like that of Janaki.

4. **"बानर जानकि लखन लाय" (Bānara Jānaki Lakhanā Lāya)**

बानर जानकि लखन लाय।  
राखा रावनहि निपति बचाय॥

**Translation:**  
The monkeys brought Janaki, accompanied by Lakshmana,  
They saved her from the clutches of Ravana.

5. **"सागर उत्तरि नगरि बायारी" (Sāgara Uttari Nagari Bāyārī)**

सागर उत्तरि नगरि बायारी।  
सिय सियारि सब मिलि देखारी॥

**Translation:**  
Crossing the ocean, they arrived at the city in the north,  
They showed Sita to everyone, rejoicing.

6. **"अखिल धाम रघुपति बसाहिं" (Akhila Dhāma Raghu Pati Basāhiṁ)**

अखिल धाम रघुपति बसाहिं।  
जेहिं तेहिं निज प्रकाश दिसाहिं॥

**Translation:**  
The Lord of the Raghus resides in every abode,  
He shines forth in every direction.

7. **"जहाँ तहां बैठि राम भजना" (Jahām̐ Tahām̐ Baiṭhi Rāma Bhajanā)**

जहाँ तहां बैठि राम भजना।  
पावन सब ताहि जग जाना॥

**Translation:**  
Wherever they sat, they worshiped Rama,  
Considering that place as holy, the whole world knows.

8. **"कपि अवधपुर कीन्हे सब कथा" (Kapi Avadhapura Kīnhe Sab Kathā)**

कपि अवधपुर कीन्हे सब कथा।  
राम लछिमन बैठे सहित संगठा॥

**Translation:**  
The monkeys narrated all the stories in the city of Ayodhya,  
Rama and Lakshmana sat together, listening.

9. **"सोइ तुम्ह प्रिय मिलित महि" (So'ī Tumha Priya Milita Mahi)**

सोइ तुम्ह प्रिय मिलित महि।  
तिहुँ समय तनु बिबेक तहि॥

**Translation:**  
Meeting you, my beloved, in person,  
He regained his discernment at that moment.

Giving himself to you, his beloved,  
He felt very ashamed in his beautiful and impure mind.

**Translation:**  
Returning to Ayodhya, in his great splendor,  
Rama, the lord of the Raghus, shone brightly.

13**"राम रघुपति सम प्रहेहि" (Rāma Raghu Pati Sam Prahehi)**

राम रघुपति सम प्रहेहि।  
सुख प्रीति सब करहुँ बिचारूं॥

**Translation:**  
Rama, the lord of the Raghus, radiated alongside,  
Spreading happiness and love everywhere.

14**"सुख प्रीति सब करहुँ बिचारूं" (Sukha Prīti Sab Karahuṁ Bicārū)**

सुख प्रीति सब करहुँ बिचारूं।  
रामहि सकल समान॥

**Translation:**  
Everyone contemplated happiness and love,  
Seeing Rama, who was equal to all.

15**"रामहि सकल समान" (Rāmahi Sakala Samāna)**

रामहि सकल समान।  
जाति कुल धन धाम॥

**Translation:**  
In Rama, everyone found equality,  
Regardless of caste, lineage, wealth, or abode.

16**"जाति कुल धन धाम" (Jāti Kula Dhana Dhāma)**

सभी मिलि सुख नाना अनेक नाम॥

**Translation:**  
Caste, lineage, wealth, and abode,  
All came together in happiness, with various names and forms.

**Translation:**  
All, together, in happiness, with various names,  
Rama's affection was equal to all as the Lord.

भक्ति श्रद्धा सब गुण गान॥

**Translation:**  
Rama's love was equal to all as the Lord,  
Sung with devotion and faith in all his virtues.

19**"भक्ति श्रद्धा सब गुण गान" (Bhakti Śraddhā Sab Guṇa Gāna)**

भक्ति श्रद्धा सब गुण गान।  
सुनि रघुपति सुख होई भाग्यवान॥

**Translation:**  
With devotion and faith, all virtues were sung,  
Listening, Rama felt happy, fortunate.

The king of Ayodhya, along with many other kings,  
Went to inquire about the well-being of the king of Saket and others.

3. **"सायक सिखि गुण देखि सुनि प्रिय अचरन" (Sāyaka Sikhi Guṇa Dekhi Suni Priya Acarana)**

सायक सिखि गुण देखि सुनि प्रिय अचरन।  
तुरत रघुबर गेह उपदेश नारन॥

**Translation:**  
Seeing the qualities of the arrows and hearing about the actions of the beloved,  
Raghubar immediately returned home and gave instructions.

4. **"राम अधिपति सब ताहि देखिये" (Rāma Adhipati Saba Tāhi Dekhiye)**

राम अधिपति सब ताहि देखिये।  
नाना राज रंग रति लेखिये॥

**Translation:**  
Everyone saw Rama, the lord of Ayodhya, there,  
And they wrote various articles about the enjoyment of the various royal pleasures.

5. **"ताहि अचिर जौं किए बिचारे" (Tāhi Acira Jau Kie Bicāre)**

ताहि अचिर जौं किए बिचारे।  
तेहि कहहिं नाम गिरि जहाँ पारे॥

**Translation:**  
Considering this without delay,  
He immediately instructed them to write his name on the other side of the mountain.

6. **"समुझावँ बिचार भए बहोरी" (Samujhāvaṁ Bicāra Bhaye Bahorī)**

समुझावँ बिचार भए बहोरी।  
रघुपति पुनि सिंधु गेहु पोरी॥

**Translation:**  
After considering the instructions, they became convinced,  
And Raghu's lord again reached the banks of the ocean.

सोई सुख सब ताहिं सुमिराई॥

Where they found no union with the city,

There, the enemies became very proud,  
And everyone became excited.
