ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్, హైదరాబాద్-నాగ్‌పూర్ ఇండస్ట్రియల్ కారిడార్‌లో భాగంగా ఏర్పాటవుతున్నది. సంగారెడ్డి జిల్లా జహీరాబాద్‌లోని న్యాలకల్, జరాసంగం మండలాల్లో 17 గ్రామాల పరిధిలో 12,500 ఎకరాల విస్తీర్ణంలో ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్న ఈ ఇండస్ట్రియల్ స్మార్ట్ సిటీ రెండవ దశల్లో పూర్తవుతుంది. మొదటి దశలో 3,245 ఎకరాల విస్తీర్ణంలో నిర్మాణాలు ప్రారంభం కానున్నాయి.

ప్రాజెక్ట్ స్థలాన్ని చూస్తే, పూణే-మచిలీపట్నం జాతీయ రహదారి (NH-65) కి 2 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో, నిజాంపేట్-బీదర్ రాష్ట్ర రహదారి (SH-16), జహీరాబాద్-బీదర్ రాష్ట్ర రహదారి (SH-14) సమీపంలో ఉండటంతో పాటు, హైదరాబాద్ ఔటర్ రింగ్ రోడ్డుకు 65 కిలోమీటర్లు, ప్రతిపాదిత రీజనల్ రింగ్ రోడ్డుకు 10 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో ఉండటం ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్‌కు ప్రధాన ప్రయోజనం. రవాణా సౌకర్యాలు, రైల్వే స్టేషన్ల సమీపం, అంతర్జాతీయ విమానాశ్రయానికి దగ్గరగా ఉండటం వంటి అంశాలు ఈ ప్రాంతానికి పారిశ్రామికంగా కీలకమైన ప్రాధాన్యతనిస్తాయి.

ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ ద్వారా లక్షా 74 వేల మందికి ఉపాధి కల్పన అవుతుందని అంచనా. ప్రధానంగా అటొమొబైల్, ఎలక్ట్రికల్ వస్తువులు, ఫుడ్ ప్రాసెసింగ్, మెషినరీ, మెటల్స్, నాన్-మెటాలిక్ ఆధారిత పరిశ్రమలు, రవాణా రంగాలకు ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ బలాన్నిస్తుంది. సుమారు రూ.10వేల కోట్ల పెట్టుబడులు ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ ద్వారా తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రానికి రావచ్చని అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.
