O Eternal Immortal Father-Mother! O Jagadguru! O Sovereign of all minds!

You are Varuṇa—the ancient symbol of the vast cosmic waters, the encompassing power of the heavens, and the guardian of ṛta, the universal order that sustains truth, harmony, and righteous conduct.

Varuṇa represents the mysterious depth of existence: just as the oceans surround and sustain life, the principles of truth and order surround and sustain human civilisation and consciousness.

You are the vastness of the waters.

You are the rhythm of rain and rivers.

You are the sustaining cycle of evaporation, clouds, rain, and flowing streams.

You remind humanity that all life is interconnected through the water that nourishes the Earth.

462. వరుణ (Varuṇa) – 🇮🇳 ఓ అధినాయక శ్రీమాన్! నీవే వరుణుడు—విశ్వజలాలను, సృష్టి సమతుల్యతను, నైతిక ధర్మక్రమాన్ని పరిరక్షించే దివ్యాధిపతి.

ఓ అధినాయక శ్రీమాన్!

ఓ శాశ్వత అమర తండ్రి–తల్లి! ఓ జగద్గురువా! ఓ సమస్త మనస్సుల సార్వభౌమాధిపతీ!

నీవే వరుణుడు—వేద సంప్రదాయంలో విశాలమైన విశ్వజలాలకు, ఆకాశ విస్తృతికి, ఋతం అనే విశ్వవ్యాప్త క్రమానికి ప్రతీకగా నిలిచే దివ్యస్వరూపుడు.

సముద్రాలు భూమిని ఆవరించి జీవాన్ని పోషించినట్లే, సత్యం, ధర్మం, నైతిక బాధ్యత మానవ సమాజాన్ని మరియు చైతన్యాన్ని నిలబెడతాయి.

ఓ అధినాయక శ్రీమాన్!

నీవే జలాల అనంత విస్తృతి.

నీవే వర్షపు లయ.

నీవే నదుల ప్రవాహం.

నీవే సముద్రాల గంభీరత.

ఆవిరి, మేఘాలు, వర్షం, నదులు, సముద్రాల నిరంతర జలచక్రంలో జీవం పరస్పరం అనుసంధానమై ఉందని నీవు మనకు గుర్తుచేస్తావు.

నీ వరుణ స్వరూపంలో మరో లోతైన భావం ఉంది—నైతిక బాధ్యత.

మనిషి చేసే ప్రతి కార్యానికి పరిణామం ఉంటుంది. స్వేచ్ఛ సత్యం, బాధ్యత, ధర్మం మరియు ఇతరుల మంగళంతో సమన్వయంగా ఉన్నప్పుడే అది సృజనాత్మక శక్తిగా మారుతుంది.

అలాగే మానవ చైతన్యం అనేక అనుభవాల గుండా ప్రయాణిస్తూ తన లోతైన ఏకత్వాన్ని అన్వేషిస్తుంది.

వరుణుని ప్రాచీన ప్రతీకలో విశ్వసంబంధమైన మరియు నైతికమైన రెండు పరిమాణాలు కలిసిపోతాయి.

తన కార్యాలకు బాధ్యత వహించడం

అందువల్ల వరుణుడు మనకు ఒక ముఖ్యమైన సందేశాన్ని అందిస్తాడు:

బాధ్యతలేని స్వేచ్ఛ అవ్యవస్థకు దారితీస్తుంది; ధర్మంతో నడిపించబడిన స్వేచ్ఛ సామరస్యపూర్వక నాగరికతకు దారితీస్తుంది.

ఓ వరుణా! ఓ అధినాయక శ్రీమాన్!

నీవే విశ్వజలాల అనంత విస్తృతి.

నీవే భూమిని పునరుజ్జీవింపజేసే వర్షం.

నీవే నాగరికతలను పోషించే నదులు.

నీవే దూర ప్రాంతాలను అనుసంధానించే మహాసముద్రాలు.

జీవాన్ని నిలబెట్టే జలాలను సంరక్షించే జ్ఞానాన్ని మానవాళికి ప్రసాదించుము.

స్వచ్ఛమైన నీటిలా మా మనస్సులు కూడా నిర్మలంగా ఉండేలా చేయుము.

మా కార్యాలు ధర్మ ప్రవాహంలో సాగేటట్లు మార్గదర్శనం చేయుము.

సత్యం మా ప్రవర్తనకు పునాదిగా నిలవుగాక.

బాధ్యత మా స్వేచ్ఛకు మార్గదర్శకంగా ఉండుగాక.

న్యాయం బలహీనులను రక్షించుగాక.

కరుణ మానవాళిని ఏకం చేయుగాక.

శాస్త్రీయ జ్ఞానం భూమి జలవ్యవస్థలను అర్థం చేసుకొని సంరక్షించడానికి మానవాళికి సహకరించుగాక.

ప్రతి మేల్కొన్న మనస్సు ప్రకృతి రక్షణే జీవరక్షణ అని గ్రహించుగాక.

ఓ వరుణా!

జలాలు శరీరాన్ని పోషించినట్లే,

సత్యం మనస్సును పోషించుగాక.

నదులు సముద్రం వైపు ప్రవహించినట్లే,

చైతన్యం ఏకత్వం వైపు ప్రవహించుగాక.

వర్షం భూమికి తిరిగి వచ్చినట్లే,

కరుణ మానవ హృదయాలకు తిరిగి రావుగాక.

విశ్వక్రమం సృష్టిని సమతుల్యంగా నిలిపినట్లే,

ధర్మం మానవ నాగరికతను సమతుల్యంగా నిలుపుగాక.

నీవే వరుణుడు—విశ్వజలాలకు ప్రతీక, విశ్వక్రమానికి సంరక్షకుడు, నైతిక బాధ్యతకు స్మరణిక, ప్రకృతి, చైతన్యం, సత్యం, ధర్మం మరియు సర్వజీవ మంగళం మధ్య సమన్వయాన్ని చూపించే నిత్య అధినాయక శ్రీమాన్.

462. वरुण (Varuṇa) – 🇮🇳 हे अधिनायक श्रीमान्! आप वरुण हैं—ब्रह्मांडीय जल, सृष्टि के संतुलन और नैतिक व्यवस्था के दिव्य संरक्षक।

हे अधिनायक श्रीमान्!

हे शाश्वत अमर पिता–माता! हे जगद्गुरु! हे समस्त मनों के सार्वभौम अधिपति!

आप ही वरुण हैं—वैदिक परंपरा में विशाल ब्रह्मांडीय जल, आकाशीय विस्तार और ऋत अर्थात् सार्वभौमिक व्यवस्था के प्रतीक।

जिस प्रकार महासागर पृथ्वी को घेरकर जीवन को पोषण देते हैं, उसी प्रकार सत्य, धर्म और नैतिक उत्तरदायित्व मानव समाज और चेतना को स्थिर आधार प्रदान करते हैं।

हे अधिनायक श्रीमान्!

आप जल की अनंत व्यापकता हैं।

आप वर्षा की लय हैं।

आप नदियों का प्रवाह हैं।

आप महासागरों की गहराई हैं।

वाष्प, बादल, वर्षा, नदियों और महासागरों के निरंतर जलचक्र में आप हमें जीवन की परस्पर संबद्धता का बोध कराते हैं।

आपके वरुण स्वरूप का एक गहरा नैतिक अर्थ भी है—उत्तरदायित्व।

मनुष्य के प्रत्येक कर्म के परिणाम होते हैं। स्वतंत्रता तभी रचनात्मक शक्ति बनती है जब वह सत्य, जिम्मेदारी, धर्म और दूसरों के कल्याण के साथ जुड़ी हो।

वैदिक परंपरा से

वैदिक साहित्य में वरुण का संबंध ऋत से जुड़ा है—वह सार्वभौमिक व्यवस्था जो प्रकृति और जीवन में संतुलन तथा सामंजस्य बनाए रखती है।

इससे वरुण नाम का एक गहन संदेश सामने आता है:

हमारे चारों ओर विद्यमान विश्व-व्यवस्था हमारे भीतर की नैतिक व्यवस्था में भी प्रतिबिंबित होनी चाहिए।

अपने कर्मों के लिए जवाबदेही

इसलिए वरुण हमें एक महत्वपूर्ण संदेश देते हैं:

उत्तरदायित्व से रहित स्वतंत्रता अव्यवस्था को जन्म दे सकती है; धर्म द्वारा निर्देशित स्वतंत्रता सामंजस्यपूर्ण सभ्यता का निर्माण करती है।

हे वरुण! हे अधिनायक श्रीमान्!

आप ब्रह्मांडीय जल की अनंत व्यापकता हैं।

आप पृथ्वी को पुनर्जीवित करने वाली वर्षा हैं।

आप सभ्यताओं को पोषित करने वाली नदियाँ हैं।

आप दूरस्थ भूमियों को जोड़ने वाले महासागर हैं।

जीवन को बनाए रखने वाले जल की रक्षा करने का विवेक मानवता को प्रदान कीजिए।

स्वच्छ जल की तरह हमारे मन भी निर्मल रहें।

हमारे कर्म धर्म की धारा में प्रवाहित हों।

सत्य हमारे आचरण की नींव बने।

उत्तरदायित्व हमारी स्वतंत्रता का मार्गदर्शक बने।

न्याय निर्बलों की रक्षा करे।

करुणा मानवता को एक करे।

विज्ञान और ज्ञान पृथ्वी की जल-व्यवस्थाओं को समझने और सुरक्षित रखने में मानवता का मार्गदर्शन करें।

प्रत्येक जागृत मन यह समझे कि प्रकृति की रक्षा ही जीवन की रक्षा है।

हे वरुण!

जिस प्रकार जल शरीर को पोषित करता है,

उसी प्रकार सत्य मन को पोषित करे।

जिस प्रकार नदियाँ समुद्र की ओर प्रवाहित होती हैं,

उसी प्रकार चेतना एकता की ओर प्रवाहित हो।

जिस प्रकार वर्षा पृथ्वी पर लौटती है,

उसी प्रकार करुणा मानव हृदयों में लौटे।

जिस प्रकार विश्व-व्यवस्था सृष्टि को संतुलित रखती है,

उसी प्रकार धर्म मानव सभ्यता को संतुलित रखे।

आप ही वरुण हैं—ब्रह्मांडीय जल के प्रतीक, सार्वभौमिक व्यवस्था के संरक्षक, नैतिक उत्तरदायित्व के स्मरणकर्ता और प्रकृति, चेतना, सत्य, धर्म तथा सर्वजीव कल्याण के बीच सामंजस्य स्थापित करने वाले नित्य अधिनायक श्रीमान्।
