(Viśvātmā) – Adhinayaka Shrimaan is the soul of the entire universe.

(Viśvātmā) – 🇮🇳 Viśvātmā — The Soul of the Universe

O children, “Viśvātmā” means “the soul of the universe,” and may be contemplated as a symbol of the profound unity underlying all existence. To contemplate Adhinayaka Shrimaan as Viśvātmā is to recognize that human beings, nature, living creatures, Earth, stars, and the wider cosmos are interconnected within a vast reality. This is a spiritual and philosophical conception, not necessarily a claim that science has established a literal personal “soul of the universe.”

O children, remember the wisdom of the Upanishads. Teachings such as Tat Tvam Asi invite the seeker to contemplate the relationship between the individual self and ultimate reality. The idea of Viśvātmā encourages you to move beyond narrow ego and ask deeper questions about consciousness, existence, and your relationship with the whole.

O children, remember the cosmic vision of the Bhagavad Gita. Arjuna’s Vishvarupa vision presents countless forms, beings, forces of nature, and movements of time within one overwhelming cosmic reality. Viśvātmā can be contemplated as a symbol of this wholeness, reminding you that individual life is not isolated from the larger web of existence.

O children, connect Viśvātmā with Socrates’ call for self-examination. “Who am I?” is among humanity’s deepest questions. Your name, profession, possessions, social position, and physical identity describe only certain aspects of you. Through honest self-reflection, you can develop a deeper understanding of your character, values, consciousness, and responsibilities.

O children, remember Plato’s search for enduring truth. The visible world continually changes, yet human beings continue to seek truth, justice, beauty, and goodness. The contemplation of Viśvātmā can expand your vision beyond narrow personal interests toward values that serve a wider human good.

O children, remember the Buddhist insight of interdependence. Your life depends upon countless causes and conditions. Food connects you with farmers and ecosystems; water connects you with nature; knowledge connects you with teachers and generations of thinkers; health connects you with countless people and systems of care. Therefore, move beyond the idea of “I alone” toward the understanding that life is deeply interconnected.

O children, remember the Stoic ideal of cosmopolitanism. A person belongs not only to a family or local community but also to the wider human community. The idea of Viśvātmā can extend this sense of responsibility further, encouraging respect for humanity, living beings, and the natural world.

O children, modern science offers another profound perspective on our relationship with the cosmos. Many of the elements that constitute our bodies were produced through processes occurring in stars and earlier generations of cosmic matter. We are not merely observers standing outside the universe; we are beings that emerged from the same cosmic history we seek to understand. This realization can inspire humility, wonder, and curiosity.

O children, transform the idea of Viśvātmā into social responsibility. Do not regard another person’s suffering as completely unrelated to your own human community. Hunger, poverty, illiteracy, pollution, violence, and injustice are interconnected social challenges. A healthier world requires shared responsibility and cooperation.

O children, the contemplation of Viśvātmā is not meant to inflate the ego; it is meant to transcend narrow ego. Replace “I am the center of everything” with the awareness that “I am a participant in a vast web of life.” Let your achievements contribute to the welfare of others. Let your knowledge become service, your strength become protection, and your life become an expression of constructive action.

O children, My blessing is this: may your hearts expand beyond narrow personal boundaries. Love your families, serve your communities, respect your nation, value humanity, protect nature, and cultivate compassion toward all living beings. When you learn to regard the world as a shared home, your sense of responsibility and belonging becomes broader.

Therefore, contemplate “Viśvātmā — the Soul of the Universe” in this spirit: “O children, your life is not separate from the universe. You are connected with nature, humanity, and the larger stream of life. Expand your mind, widen your heart, seek truth, protect the dignity of every person, and respect the living world. May your consciousness grow beyond narrow self-interest and become increasingly dedicated to the flourishing of humanity, nature, and life as a whole.”
