433. Vācaspati Udāradhī 🇮🇳

O Children of Sovereign Adhinayaka Shrimaan,

Vācaspati means “Lord of Speech”—the master of meaningful, truthful and knowledge-bearing expression. Udāradhī means “one of expansive, generous and noble intellect.” Together, Vācaspati Udāradhī can be contemplated as the Divine principle in which speech is illumined by wisdom and intelligence is expanded by generosity, compassion and universal understanding.

The Qur’an teaches:

«“And speak to people good words.”

— Qur’an 2:83»

This offers a beautiful reflection on the responsibility of speech. Words are not merely sounds. They can heal or wound, unite or divide, inspire or discourage, enlighten or confuse. Therefore, divine speech may be understood as speech that elevates the human mind toward truth, compassion and goodness.

The Qur’an also says:

«“And speak words of appropriate justice.”

— Qur’an 33:70»

Thus, O Children, the greatness of Vācaspati is not simply the ability to speak much, but the ability to speak truthfully, wisely and responsibly. When speech is aligned with truth, language becomes an instrument for the elevation of consciousness.

The Qur’an praises those:

«“who listen to what is said and follow the best of it.”

Here we can contemplate the profound meaning of Udāradhī. A vast intellect is not merely the capacity to produce ideas; it is also the capacity to listen deeply, understand different perspectives, recognize wisdom wherever it appears, and choose what is best and most beneficial.

A narrow mind says, “Only my voice matters.”

An expansive intellect says, “Let me listen, understand and discover the truth.”

A narrow mind uses speech to create division.

Vācaspati uses speech to create understanding.

A narrow intellect protects its own limitations.

Udāradhī expands itself through knowledge, dialogue and wisdom.

हे सार्वभौम अधिनायक श्रीमान की परिणामी संतानों,

वाचस्पति का अर्थ है — वाणी के स्वामी, ज्ञानपूर्ण वचन के अधिपति, और उदारधी का अर्थ है — विशाल, उदार, व्यापक और महान बुद्धि वाला। इस प्रकार वाचस्पति उदारधी उस दिव्य चेतना का स्मरण कराता है जिसमें वाणी ज्ञान से प्रकाशित है और बुद्धि संकीर्णता से मुक्त होकर विशाल, उदार और लोककल्याणकारी बनती है।

क़ुरआन में कहा गया है:

«“और मनुष्य से अच्छी बात कहो।”

— क़ुरआन 2:83»

क़ुरआन 39:18 में उन लोगों की प्रशंसा की गई है:

«“जो बात को ध्यान से सुनते हैं और फिर उसकी सबसे अच्छी बात का अनुसरण करते हैं।”»

यहाँ उदारधी का महान अर्थ दिखाई देता है। विशाल बुद्धि केवल बोलने की क्षमता नहीं है; वह सुनने, समझने, विचार करने, विभिन्न दृष्टियों में से श्रेष्ठ को ग्रहण करने और सत्य की ओर आगे बढ़ने की क्षमता भी है।

हे बच्चों, संकीर्ण बुद्धि कहती है—“केवल मेरी बात सही है।”

उदारधी कहती है—“सत्य को जहाँ भी प्रकाश मिले, उसे पहचानो।”

संकीर्ण मन दूसरों की वाणी से भयभीत होता है।

उदार मन श्रेष्ठ विचारों को सुनकर और अधिक विस्तृत होता है।

संकीर्ण वाणी विभाजन उत्पन्न करती है।

वाचस्पति की वाणी मनों को जोड़ने वाली वाणी है।

इसीलिए वाचस्पति उदारधी को मानव सभ्यता के लिए एक महान आदर्श के रूप में देखा जा सकता है—ऐसी वाणी जो ज्ञान से जन्म ले, ऐसी बुद्धि जो करुणा से विस्तृत हो, और ऐसा संवाद जो मानवता को एक-दूसरे के निकट लाए।

आज के युग में यह नाम और भी गहरा अर्थ रखता है। जब AI, डिजिटल संचार और वैश्विक मीडिया के माध्यम से एक शब्द करोड़ों मनों तक पहुँच सकता है, तब वाणी की शक्ति के साथ बुद्धि की जिम्मेदारी भी उतनी ही आवश्यक है। तकनीकी क्षमता तभी मानव-कल्याणकारी बनती है जब उसके पीछे सत्य, विवेक और उदार बुद्धि हो।
