* Awareness generation programmes: These programmes are aimed at raising awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse among the general public, as well as among specific target groups such as students, teachers, and parents.
* Focus on higher educational institutions: NMBA works with higher educational institutions to create awareness about substance abuse and to provide counseling and treatment services to students who are struggling with addiction.
* Reaching out to the community: NMBA works with community-based organizations to identify and reach out to dependent populations. It also provides counseling and treatment services to these populations.
* Focus on counseling and treatment facilities: NMBA has geo-tagged counseling and treatment facilities across the country. This makes it easier for people who are struggling with addiction to find the help they need.
* Capacity building programmes for service providers: NMBA provides capacity building programmes for service providers who work with people who are struggling with addiction. These programmes aim to improve the skills and knowledge of service providers so that they can provide the best possible care to their clients.

NMBA has been a success in raising awareness about substance abuse and in providing counseling and treatment services to people who are struggling with addiction. The programme has also helped to build capacity among service providers.

Here are some of the achievements of NMBA:

* Till now through the various activities undertaken on ground 9.57+ crore people reached out so far.
* 1.5 lakh youth have been counseled and 25,000 have been referred for treatment.
