 First poem of the first chapter of the first part of Pothana Bhagavatham:

> అనంతాదిత్యకోటిసమప్రకాశం
> అఖండబ్రహ్మరూపం కృష్ణం నమామ్యహం ।
> సర్వేశ్వరమహేశ్వరమేవంబరధరం
> సర్వజ్ఞం సర్వేశ్వరం కృష్ణం నమామ్యహం ।।

> I bow down to Krishna, who is as bright as a million suns, who is the form of the eternal Brahman, who is the Lord of all, who is the great Lord, who is the one who wears a tiger skin, who is all-knowing, and who is the Lord of all.
