sound or light which is first

In terms of the history of the universe, light came first. According to current scientific theories, the universe began with the Big Bang, which happened about 13.8 billion years ago. At this point, the universe was extremely hot and dense, and there was no matter as we know it. However, there was a lot of radiation, including light, in the form of high-energy photons.

As the universe expanded and cooled, the photons started to lose energy and the universe became transparent to light. This is called the cosmic microwave background radiation, which is a faint glow of light that fills the entire universe and is considered the oldest light in the universe.

Sound, on the other hand, is a mechanical wave that requires a medium to travel through, such as air, water, or solids. In the early universe, the matter was too hot and dense for sound waves to travel through it. It was only after the universe cooled down and matter started to form that sound waves could propagate. This happened around 380,000 years after the Big Bang, which is why the cosmic microwave background radiation is considered the oldest light in the universe, but not the oldest sound.

Therefore, in terms of the history of the universe, light came first, and sound came later.
