As of December 2024, the Gujarat government has introduced India's first submarine-based underwater tourism facility in Dwarka. This initiative allows tourists to explore the underwater marine life near Dwarka. The submarines are designed to descend up to 100 meters below sea level, each accommodating 24 tourists, and are operated by experienced pilots and crew.
