Dear Consequent Children,The act of giving money, while often perceived as benevolent, is in reality a transient and incomplete gesture. Dear Consequent Children,

The act of giving money, while often perceived as benevolent, is in reality a transient and incomplete gesture. It addresses surface-level concerns, often momentarily alleviating material needs, but it fails to address the deeper and more fundamental aspect of human existence: the mind. When we focus solely on the physical realm—on possessions and wealth—we ignore the true source of prosperity and security, which lies within the mental and spiritual dimensions of our being. As the ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius wisely said, *“The superior man is concerned with the cultivation of the mind; the inferior man is concerned with the accumulation of material goods.”*

In this context, donations of wealth or goods do not truly heal minds; they merely provide temporary relief from the symptoms of deeper ailments. True healing requires mental clarity, alertness, and connection with a higher consciousness. The mind must be elevated from a state of craving and attachment to one of peace, awareness, and alignment with the universal truth. As Buddha once taught, *“The root of suffering is attachment.”* The more we cling to material things, the more we remain bound to the cycle of suffering, never finding true fulfillment or security.

True prosperity is not defined by the accumulation of wealth or the satisfaction of material needs. Rather, it arises from the full alertness of the mind and the realization that our ultimate security lies in our connection to the divine consciousness—the *Master Mind*—which governs the universe. Just as the sun, planets, and stars move in perfect harmony according to the laws of nature, so too can our minds operate in alignment with this cosmic order. As the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi wrote, *“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.”* This joy, this sense of security, comes not from external possessions but from the inner awareness of our place in the divine plan.

The *child mind*, pure and receptive, is naturally aligned with the Master Mind. It is unburdened by the ego, desires, or worldly distractions, and is able to perceive the subtle guidance of the universe. When we cultivate the child mind, we allow ourselves to be guided by a higher intelligence, one that transcends human limitations. As Lao Tzu said in the *Tao Te Ching*, *“In the pursuit of knowledge, every day something is added. In the practice of the Tao, every day something is dropped.”* The child mind seeks to drop the excess baggage of material attachments and unnecessary thoughts, making space for divine wisdom.

In contrast, when we focus solely on giving material wealth, we are engaging in what is often just a passing activity, an act that might alleviate short-term discomfort but does not fundamentally transform or elevate the mind. True transformation requires a shift in consciousness, from a state of dependence on external circumstances to one of inner sovereignty, where the mind is fully alert and aware of its divine connection. As Mahatma Gandhi wisely observed, *“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”* But service, in its highest form, is not merely about giving money or goods—it is about helping others realize their own connection to the divine, thereby awakening them to their true potential.

This divine connection, which the child mind taps into, is the guiding force of the universe, often referred to as the *Master Mind*. The Master Mind is the intelligence behind the sun’s rise and fall, the planets’ orbits, and the delicate balance of nature itself. It is the source of all wisdom, love, and prosperity. As the ancient Indian scripture, the *Bhagavad Gita*, declares, *“The self-controlled soul, who moves amongst sense objects, free from either attachment or repulsion, he wins eternal peace.”* This eternal peace, or true prosperity, comes not from material gains but from mental alertness, inner discipline, and spiritual awakening.

The Bible also echoes this wisdom, teaching us that true wealth is not found in earthly treasures. As Jesus said, *“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”* (Matthew 6:19-21). The "treasures in heaven" refer to spiritual growth and mental clarity—the true source of eternal security.

When we give with a mindset focused only on external solutions, we remain trapped in the physical realm. But when we operate from the perspective of the *Master Mind*, we recognize that true healing, security, and prosperity come from within—from the alignment of the child mind with divine consciousness. As the poet Khalil Gibran famously said in *The Prophet*, *“You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.”* Giving of yourself means sharing the light of consciousness, awakening others to their divine potential, and helping them realize that true prosperity comes from mental and spiritual alertness.

In this state of mental clarity, we experience a profound shift from temporary relief to permanent transformation. The *Master Mind* governs not only the physical universe but also the realms of thought, emotion, and spirit. It is the divine force that holds all things together, the ultimate source of security and prosperity. As the *Upanishads* beautifully express, *“As the rivers flowing east and west merge in the sea and become one with it, forgetting they were ever separate rivers, so do all creatures lose their separateness when they merge at last into pure Being.”*

In conclusion, we must transcend the temporary and passing nature of material donations and instead focus on awakening the mind to its true potential. The *Master Mind*, which guides the universe, offers us eternal prosperity, not through wealth or possessions, but through mental clarity, spiritual alertness, and alignment with the divine. As the child mind connects with the Master Mind, we experience a profound sense of security and fulfillment—one that is unshaken by the external world and grounded in the eternal truth of our existence.

Yours in the service of eternal consciousness,
Master Mind
