1. Sloka:
सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः।
सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः।
सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु।
मा कश्चिद् दुःखभाग्भवेत्॥

Translation:
May all beings be happy,
May all beings be free from disease,
May all behold auspiciousness,
May none suffer from sorrow.

2. Sloka:
अयं निजः परो वेति गणना लघुचेतसाम्।
उदारचरितानां तु वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्॥

Translation:
For those with narrow minds, this is mine, that is yours;
But for the magnanimous souls, the whole world is one family.

3. Sloka:
अहिंसा परमो धर्मः।
धर्म हिंसा तथैव च॥

Translation:
Non-violence is the highest virtue,
Violence is the greatest sin.

4. Sloka:
सर्वत्र समदर्शित्वेन समाहितबुद्धिरेव च।
सर्वेन्द्रियगुणैर्युक्तो ब्रह्मात्मैव भवत्यसौ॥

Translation:
By seeing equality everywhere and maintaining equanimity of mind,
One, endowed with control over all senses, becomes established in the supreme Self.

5. Sloka:
यथा राजा तथा प्रजा।
यथा प्रजा तथा राजा।
सर्वे सज्जना सुखिनो भवन्तु।
सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः॥

Translation:
As the king, so are the subjects;
As the subjects, so is the king;
May all good people be happy,
May all be free from disease.

6. Sloka:
यथा हि चन्दनं लोके यथा राजा समाहितः।
तथैव चित्तमात्मानं सर्वेषां प्रतिपद्यते॥

Translation:
Just as sandalwood is esteemed in the world,
And just as a king is revered,
Similarly, a person with a composed mind
Is respected by all.

7. Sloka:
उद्यमेन हि सिद्ध्यन्ति कार्याणि न मनोरथैः।
न हि सुप्तस्य सिंहस्य प्रविशन्ति मुखे मृगाः॥

Translation:
Through effort alone are tasks accomplished,
Not merely by wishing.
For even a lion, while asleep,
Does not get its prey.

8. Sloka:
सत्यं ब्रवीमि तपसा सत्यं ब्रवीमि तपसा।
सत्यं ब्रवीमि दक्षेण तपसा च अत्र पार्थिव॥

Translation:
I speak the truth through austerity,
I speak the truth through self-discipline,
I speak the truth with steadfastness,
May truthfulness prevail.

9. Sloka:
एको हि देवः सर्वभूतेषु गूढः।
वर्तते एकः तिष्ठति सर्वतः।
सर्वेषाम् अन्तरात्मा स्यात्।
सर्वेषाम् एकः सर्वेषाम् बहुधा॥

Translation:
There is only one divine being hidden in all beings,
He is present in all, he exists everywhere,
He resides within everyone,
He is one yet manifests in many forms.

10. Sloka:
आत्मा ह्येषा शरीरेषु जीवलोके प्रतिष्ठिता।
आत्मानं न विचेत्स्यात् भूतेषु परिसंयुगे॥

Translation:
This soul resides within the body,
Firmly established in the world of beings.
One should not disregard the soul
When encountering various beings.


11. Sloka:
सर्वदा धर्ममाचरेत् सर्वदा च परं सुखम्।
सर्वदा तु विमन्येत् सर्वदा च परं धनम्॥

Translation:
Always practice righteousness, always pursue the highest happiness,
Always be compassionate, always seek the highest wealth.

12. Sloka:
अनन्यचित्तो धर्मात्मा सर्वस्य गुणवानपि।
समानि चेष्टते सर्वे यथा शक्ति तथैव च॥

Translation:
With an undivided mind, virtuous and endowed with all qualities,
One should treat everyone equally, to the best of one's ability.

13. Sloka:
उदारचरितानां तु वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्।
स्वकर्मना तम् आप्नोति सदा नैव विनाशनम्॥

Translation:
For those with magnanimous conduct, the whole world is one family,
Through their own actions, they always attain success and never destruction.

14. Sloka:
अधिकारिणं धर्मात्मा सम्माने प्रधने च।
एकस्मिन्नपि यद्यन्नं न तद् धर्मेण सम्पदेत्॥

Translation:
A righteous person, even if possessing authority and honor,
Should not abandon righteousness for the sake of even a small gain.

15. Sloka:
यथा देवेषु च स्थितं यथा राज्ञां प्रकीर्तितम्।
तथा तुष्टं जनेषु च स्वधर्मं परिपालयेत्॥

Translation:
Just as one behaves towards the gods and is praised by the kings,
Similarly, one should be content with people and uphold one's own duty.

16. Sloka:
सत्यं वद।
धर्मं चर।
स्वाध्यायान्मा प्रमदः।
आचार्याय प्रियं धनमाहृत्य प्रजातन्तुम् व्यवच्छेत्सीः॥

Translation:
Speak the truth.
Practice righteousness.
Do not neglect self-study.
After offering your wealth to the teacher, consider your duty to procreate.

17. Sloka:
सहायान् सर्वे संस्काराः प्रियान्ते प्रियभाषिणः।
सत्ये सत्यवचः प्रियं प्रियान्नाभिनन्दति॥

Translation:
All virtues are enhanced by association.
The truthful words of a pleasant speaker are dear.
Truth loves truthful speech.

18. Sloka:
अहिंसा परमो धर्मः।
तस्माद्धर्मे न परो धनम्।
सत्यं वद।
धर्मं चर।
स्वाध्यायान्मा प्रमदः।

Translation:
Non-violence is the highest virtue.
Therefore, do not forsake righteousness for wealth.
Speak the truth.
Practice righteousness.
Do not neglect self-study.

19. Sloka:
सत्यं ब्रवीमि।
सत्यमेव जयते।
सत्येन पन्था विततो देवयानः।
येनाऽऽक्रमन्त्यृषयो ह्याप्तकामा॥

Translation:
I speak the truth.
Truth alone triumphs.
The path of truth is widespread, leading to the divine,
By which the sages, desiring the highest attainment, proceed.

20. Sloka:
अद्य मे सौख्ययातापं कुर्युर्यत्नं च सर्वतः।
अतः प्रत्याहार्यो न भूयः काचिच्छ्रेयसो वदेत्॥

Translation:
Today, make efforts to bring happiness and alleviate suffering for all.
Therefore, no one should claim to speak anything greater than what is agreeable to all.


21. Sloka:
असक्तबुद्धिः सर्वेषाम् सुखम् दुःखं च यत्र यत्र।
निर्दोषः सर्वभूतेषु समं पश्यति योऽर्जुनः॥

Translation:
The one with an unattached mind sees happiness and suffering equally wherever they go.
Being faultless among all beings, such a person sees everyone equally.

22. Sloka:
योगसन्नाह सङ्कल्पैः सर्वथा समदर्शिनः।
संगद्वेषाद्भयं त्यागी स त्यागी तत्परिक्षणः॥

Translation:
The one who, with resolutions merged in yoga, always sees impartially,
Who renounces attachment, hatred, and fear, is said to be a true renunciant.

23. Sloka:
उद्यमेन हि सिद्ध्यन्ति कार्याणि न मनोरथैः।
न हि सुप्तस्य सिंहस्य प्रविशन्ति मुखे मृगाः॥

Translation:
Tasks are accomplished through effort, not mere desires.
For even a sleeping lion, prey does not enter its mouth.

24. Sloka:
नातिक्रान्तोऽस्ति विक्रान्तो न चातिप्रांश्च धर्मिकः।
यस्य कार्यं न विद्येत तं कार्यं समदर्शिनः॥

Translation:
There is no one who has transgressed or excelled, nor is there anyone who is completely righteous.
The one who does not understand their duty, the impartial one regards them as one who has failed.

25. Sloka:
सर्वेषामपि सम्मानं भवेत् सर्वार्थसाधकः।
स्वान्तस्तु परमानन्दो देहवान्न विमुच्यते॥

Translation:
The one who brings honor to everyone and accomplishes all purposes,
But finds ultimate joy within, is not bound by the body.

The instruction of yoga is indeed eternal and should be understood.
One who is established in yoga, through time, realizes the self.

29. Sloka:
सत्यं धर्मं च कुर्वीत यत्नतः सुमहद् धनम्।
तत्सुखं समयच्छेत् स्वस्य सुखस्य यत्नतः॥

Translation:
One should strive diligently to practice truth and righteousness,
For the happiness attained through such efforts surpasses all other joys.

30. Sloka:
यदि कर्म च कार्यञ्च शास्त्रवाक्येन नियम्यते।
स धर्मः परमो लोके सर्वेषामपि लाभदः॥

Translation:
If actions and duties are regulated according to the words of scriptures,
That righteousness becomes supreme in the world and beneficial to all.

For those of noble conduct, the entire world is one family.
By their own actions, they always attain success and never destruction.

धर्मेण रक्षितः सर्वो लोकः सुखमवाप्नुयात्।
स्वधर्मो रक्षितो राजा धर्मेण संप्रतिष्ठितः॥

Translation:
When righteousness is protected, the whole world attains happiness.
A king who protects his own duty is established in righteousness.

35. Sloka:
सत्यं धर्मश्च लोकेषु सर्वदा समुदाहृतौ।
तयोर्द्वयोः परं धर्मं बुद्धिं कुर्याद् यशस्विनः॥

Translation:
Truth and righteousness are always esteemed in the world.
Of these two, the higher duty, the wise one should discern.

In a single moment, O Bharata, where the affairs of the world may go,
There, for the attainment of their objectives, speak convincingly.

अधर्मोऽधर्मतामस्ति सत्यमेव परम्पदम्।
सत्यं धर्मः च पर्याप्तं येन नास्ति धर्मक्षयः॥

Translation:
Unrighteousness leads to unrighteousness, while truth alone is the supreme refuge.
Truth and righteousness are sufficient, through which there is no decline of righteousness.

Translation:
The highest duty is to help others, and one's own duty is also supreme.
The merit acquired by doing one's own duty is greater than even the diligent practice of another's duty.

49. Sloka:
समं पश्यन्ति सर्वत्र यो भावान्नात्र संशयः।
स त्वया प्रियवादिन्देव तिष्ठतु सर्वदा॥

Translation:
The one who sees equality everywhere without any doubt,
May that person, O dear one, always remain in your favor.

50. Sloka:
आत्मनः प्रतिकूलानि परेषां न समाचरेत्।
भावो नाऽऽत्मनि बुद्ध्येत तस्य प्रज्ञाऽत्मनिश्चयः॥

Translation:
One should not behave towards others in a way that is unfavorable to oneself.
Let one's inner self be a guide, for it is the discerning wisdom of the self.
