42nd verse of Vivekachudamani in Sanskrit along with an English translation:

Sanskrit:

न जायते नैव म्रियते यः स भूमान् । अक्षरः सत्यमिवाच्यः स्वतोऽसिद्धः सनातनः ॥ ४२ ॥

English Translation:

He who is unborn, never dies, is the great soul. He is immutable, eternal, and self-existent, as the Imperishable. (42)

This verse is from the Vivekachudamani, a Sanskrit text on Advaita Vedanta by Adi Shankaracharya. It states that the Self is unborn, never dies, and is the great soul. It is immutable, eternal, and self-existent. This is because the Self is not a physical object, but rather a non-dual awareness that is the ground of all existence.

The verse also uses the terms "Imperishable" and "Truth" to refer to the Self. This is because the Self is beyond all change and is the ultimate reality. It is the source of all that is, and it is the goal of all spiritual endeavors.
