Ramadan Fasting
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is considered to be the holiest month in the Islamic faith. It is observed by Muslims all around the world as a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection.
During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn until sunset, abstaining from food, drink, smoking, and other physical needs. The fast is broken at sunset with an iftar meal, often shared with family and friends.
In addition to fasting, Muslims are encouraged to increase their acts of worship during Ramadan, including reading the Quran, performing additional prayers, giving charity, and engaging in acts of kindness and compassion.
Ramadan is also a time for spiritual reflection and self-improvement, with Muslims seeking to deepen their relationship with Allah and strengthen their faith.
The end of Ramadan is marked by the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, a joyous occasion when Muslims gather with family and friends, exchange gifts, and enjoy special meals.
